Awards Program

As we celebrate Johns Hopkins University’s 150th anniversary, the Sesquicentennial Awards Program recognizes exceptional projects that reflect the university’s legacy of discovery while looking boldly toward the future.

From artistic expression to forward-thinking research and convening, awardees represent the depth and diversity of the Hopkins community, spanning students, faculty, staff, and alumni across all 10 schools.

Awards were available in two categories across two funding cycles:

  • The Envisioning the Future Awards, which support academic programming that brings scholars from Hopkins and beyond together to reflect on the current state of their fields and envision how Hopkins can enhance future scholarly contributions
  • The Artistic Lens Awards, which support ideas that engage the Hopkins community with artistic and creative offerings exploring the university’s past, present, and future.

The submission deadline for the second cycle was April 24, 2026.
